PARAMOUNT AND ARTCRAFT.

If there is any one thing that is more popular in the world to-day than mov-' ing pictures, it is jazz music. These two are now combined in "Jazzniania," which will be screened at the Paramount and Artcraft Theatres to-day. It is eaidi to be the .most gorgeous and brilliant production .Mac Murray has .ever appeared in. It contains essentially fast-moving drama, and is Staged in a manner that appeals to all. The clothes worn by the star are such as to make the audience gasp, and are recorded as the most sensational Miss Murray has yet appeared in. The story deals with the life of Queen Ninon, of Jassmania, whose court is beset with enemies, chief of them being Prince Otto, a neighbouring ruler, who covets Ninon's kingdom. Sonny Daimler, son of a New York newspaper owner, is Bent to secure an interview with the Queen. He arrives to find royalty learning to jazz under the instruction of two coloured gentlemen fronv Alabama. The scene is transferred to Monte Carlo, with its gambling casino as the centre of the picture^ and finally the Queen goes to New York, where-she becomes completely infatuated with the jazz. She returns to Jassmania to lead a revolt tion, which' is successful, and finally ■marries Jerry Langdon, a wealthy American who enters-the picture at Monte Carlo. . Immediately preceding the picture, an original prologue entitled "Dining Out" will be presented. It is to be staged -with gorgeous settings and chic costumes, and will be acted by Peggy Adams, Eileen North, ana 1 Andy. M. Simpson^ A carefully selected ballet also takes part, and includes Billy Williams, Andy Paul, Vera Grey, Esna Kisbley, Agnes Comandt and "Bettie Hobson-. ;. .■-.'■■ ?.- .
