SHORTT'S THEATRE.

"The Five Dollar -Baby," with Viola Dana, in the stellar role, is the chief attraction at ShorttV Theatrs to-day. Miss Dana's newest characterisation, is that of a miss who has been adopted as a foundling by a pawnbroker, whom she has been left with. She appears in the play first as a tomboy of thirteen, causing havoc among the children in New York's Ghetto, where the story has its setting. Later, she appears as a grownup miss, with her boarding-school days behind her, and she- promptly falls in love. The second feature is "Dark Secrets," in which Dorothy Dalton is the star, supported by Robert Ellis. The programme includes a comedy, "Busy Body," a, travelogue, and a 'Topical Gazette.
