MEETING OF MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
The weekly meeting of the Executive Committee of the Wellington Football Association wa6 held on Wednesday, Mr, A. E. Wells presiding. There were also present: Messrs. P. Bunks, H. Godber, 0. Webster, \Y. Duncan, G. F. Aers; E. Edmonds, R. J. Weir, C. Webb, H; Liversagej and A. Williams' (lion, 'secretary),
The question of sending a second, divi, siori representative team to the' Wairat rapa was referred to the second division selectors. ■ ■ • . . ' ; .
The South Wellington Club wrote complaining against the ~state. of the Pori; rua. ground, and enclosed : a copy oE e\ motion passed 'by their coinmittoej which advised- the W.F.A. Committea to visit the ground. They also asked the committee to give them some indication as to whether it would be possible to play Porirua in town in the second round. It was decider! to .forward the request to the 'Fixtures Committee.
The transfer of E. Gouffe from' Wades? town (fourth division) to Karori was' granted. The Waterside (fourth grade) Chib asked for the replay of their match with Island Bay. It was decided to ask the referee for an explanation. A letter was received from the Hutt Club asking for a replay of their third, grade match with Petone,-, played on Association Park on 16th June. Tho com. municatinu stated that during the game the Petoiie. goalkeeper played the bail on' to the crossbar; it then rebounded into play, and a, Hutt forward petted it, but the referee ruled him off-side. The referee, in a statement, said that he disnllowed Hutt a goal on the grounds of off-side. 'He admitted that the decision was wrong, and thought that his decision could be reversed without being unfair to either Petone taun or himself. Tlie committee decided to allow the goal, making the. game a draw. The South Canterbury Association notified, in ..reply ;to ' a letter from the Wellington Association, that as the weekly • half-holiday in their districtwas held on. Saturday, mid-week matches would not be a success. However, th« South Canterbury Association would bo glad to arrange a match with Wellington, should the latter isscriation arrange for a.
