Messrs. llarcourt and Co. bad a very large attendance at their -rcoirs on Tuesday afternoon, when' they submitted to auction, two properties, being Nos. 10 and 13, Newtown avenue, off Riddiford street. Kor No. 10, a five-roomod dwelling on land 33 by 68, bidding was very spirited, and rapidly advanced from £400 to £720, at which figure the property was sold to Mr. A. Smith. No. 13, four-rooms, on land 50 by 216, was also keenly sought after, and was sold to Mr. W. J. Turrall, as agent, for £400.
