HUTT VALLEY HARRIERS

A committee meeting of the Hutt Valley .Harrier Club was held last night. It was decided to alter the relay face with the. Scottish Harriers to a five-mile average teams' race over the same course as last week's race, as the members had not yet had a try-out in a five-mile race, while the fact that the championships were to be held next month did not give enough time for training over that distance. It was also decided to hold the club's five-mile handicap teams' race in the following week for the rose bowl presented to the club for annual cross-country running competition. The syllabus for the second quarter of the harrier season (July to September) was drawn up.
