LONDON, sth June The Daily Express" publishes -the remarkable announcement that Canada is preparing to receive half-a-miU ion immigrants from Austria for farming purposes. Owing to the unsettled conditions in Austria, thousands are workless and willing and anxious to go to Canada, which is unable to procure sufficient British immigrants to counter-bal-anco the heavy departures to the United States. Although the plan has not reached its final stage, Canadian officials in London are not perturbed by the suggestion that it may involve a threat to the future of the British race in Canada. The Immigration Department informed the "Daily Express" that though Canada is not prepared to cope with immigration on a national scale, she will certainly, take as many suitable ex-enemy migrants as she can find employment for.
