A VOTE IN SWITZERLAND

GENEVA, 4th June. A referendum to give the Government control of the liquor trade with" a view to reducing production was defeated by 357,000 votes to 259,000, the majority of the people regarding the proposal as an undue intereference with the liberty of the subject. i
