Cox and Tobban's tender of £2339 18s, with £200 contingencies, for the erection of the Newman Bridge on the main Masterton-Woddvjlle road. The tender was within £64 of the engineer's estimate. Work will be commenced immediately, and the bridge is to' be ready for traffic • by" February; 1924... ... : A team from the Wellington R.S.A. met a team from the Wairarapa R.S.A. on Saturday night, in a billiard and snooker tournament. Each club won' three games of billiards and snooker.
