For wheat cargoes demand is Bta'gnans. consumptive interest being lethargic. Parcels are quiet at 3d per quarter decline. Spot trade is fairly active, but prices are irregular. Flour is steady. Australian, 87s Sd to 37s 6d, ex store. Barley is quiet, but unchanged in price. Oats and beans are firm. Peas are slow of sale, but prices are unchanged. Sugar, granulated, 60s 7id per owt. MELBOURNE HIDES MARKET. MELBOURNE, 25tb May. The hides market was irregular, and competition lacked animation. Only selected parcels maintained prices; other grades were id to id per lb lower than the previous rates. Badly got-up parcels declined Jd per lb.
