"NEURASTHENIA NON-EXIST-ENT."
If we are to believe Dr. Maurice da Fleury, another prop has been snatched from beneath the hypochondriacs. Lecturing to the French Academy of Medicine, he declared that neurasthenia doea not exist, at any rate, not to the degrea that we aro led to believe by the woe«i ful tales of long-faced friends.
Neurasthenia, he stated, is an. accidental and not a constitutional illness* Dr. de Fleury's pronouncement is a. blow for those queer people, who are neveu happy unless they have some malady to complain about. ■ However, if they ar» wealthy enough* new complaints can always be found to, comfort them.
