A TWO-FOLD TREATMENT This new way.of treating colds Is an external method. You rub chest and throat with Vicks Vapoßub and cover with a hot flannel. The medication of Camphor, Menthol, Eucalytus, Oil of Thyme, Oil of Turpentine is absorbed through, and stimulates, the skin. At the same time the body heat releases the ingredients in the form of soothing vapours, which are, with each breath, inhaled deeply into the congested, inflamed air-passages. Children do not like taking evil-1 tasting medicines and too often it upsets their little stomachs. In the case of children who have colds, and colds and go from one to another, the continued inward dosing often ruins their digestion in after life. The little one really enjoys the soothing vapours and stimulating j effects of Vicks Vapoßub. HOW VICKS VAPORUB IS USED - For Colds, Sore Throats and Bronchitis just rub Vicks Vapoßub over the throat and cheat and cover with a hot flannel, leaving the night clothing and bed covers loose around the neck so that the vapours arising may be freely inhaled. For deep Chest Colds or incipient Pneumonia, hot wet towels should first be applied over the throat and chest to open the pores of the skin before using Vicks Vapoßub. For Asthma, Catarrh, Hay Fever and Head Colds, melt a little Vicks Vapoßub in a spoon and inhale the vapours. Also apply up the nostrils and inhale that way. Spasmodic Croup is usually relieved in 15 minutes. Just rub Vicks Vapoßub over throat and chest until the breathing becomes easy. Then cover with a warm flannel. One application at bedtime will prevent most night attacks. Vicks Vapoßub is good also for inflammation of the surface of the skin as well as inflammation of the airpassages.
