COMMUNITY CLUB.

The Community Club teams, composed of Territorials and Senior Cadets, which are competing in the intermediate and fifth grades, are attracting considerable attention by reason of their uniform— khaki jerseys and pants. These represent the King's, or "service," colours, of which the members are justly proud, and i they look particularly well on the field. Considering that the teams were formed only recently, they have made a creditable showing to date. The following have been elected by Territorials and Cadets as officers of the club for the ensuing year:—Patron, Mr. R. A. Wright, 'M.P.j president, Mr. J. P. Firth, C.M.G. ; vice-presidents, Messrs. W. Blundell, L. P. Blundell. S. G. Cowles, P. Fraser, M.P., S. Giimer, W. Johnstone, —. Woolf, L. M'Kenzie, G. Mitchell, E. Muir, A. W. Parton, W. A. Parton, Major A. B. Sievwright, Major E. Vine, Captain Donaldson, Lieutenant Gibson, and Captain Post; honorary secretary, Mr. J. S. Greig. FOOTBALL POSTPONEMENTS. A number of lower-grade Rugby and 1 Association matches, set down to be V-ayed at Petone to-day, did not take place on account of the grounds being m an unsuitable state for play. The postponements did not include the Wel-iington-Petone junior Rugby match. Grounds at Miramar were also affected by the recent heavy rain, and a number of Rugby matches set down to be played there was postponed. No fourth grade Rugby matches were played thi» afternoon.
