WELLINGTON WELCOME WEEK
'A FESTIVE CARNIVAL.
Whatever the moods of the weather may be during the week 7th to 14th July, the people of Wellington, and the many thousands of visitors who will flock here Wellington Welcome Week, are assured of a really good time. Although, the programme of pleasure is not yet finally arranged, it ie possible to announce that the events will include racing, boxing, football, golf, billiards, dances, concerts, and bands., . In addition, the shops will have special displays and make great efforts to delight the city's visitors. An art union is also being planned. .These items, with many other attractions yet to be announced, will help to create a gala. atmosphere for the Empire City , and should lure people from all parts of • the Dominion. The aims of the committee to create a carnival that will do credit to Wellington's leadership in other directions, should meet with the hearty co-operation of .all citizens. The secretary is Mr. G. Mitchell, whoße office is in Watts's Buildin":, Wakefield street.
