ATHLETIC-PETONE TO-MORROW.

The meeting of two of £he unbeaten seams in the senior championship, Petorie and Athletic, should provide the best attraction to date thrs season, and it will bring Petone's team directly under the notice of town followers of the game. The event is to take place at Athletic Park, where the playing area, in the event of no further heavy rain, should be in good condition. Both teams are strong in backs and forwards, and, whatever methods of play may be necessary to suit the conditions, a really good display can be expected. Athletic in their previous* matches this season, :have shown that they are much stronger, aspirants for honours this season than'has been the case with them in recent years, while Petone, with an excellent supply of players, are able to put in the field a team that will go a long way towards retaining the club's premier,, position. To-morrow's match, in. view of the present positions of the two teams as well as their prospects, is of considerable importance. The senior game ■will be /prececfed by interesting curtainraisers.
