VIOLATION OF LAW
A MAYOR IS IMPRISONED.
NEW YORK, 29th April.
At Indianapolis fifty-two persons convicted of conspiracy to violate the prohibition law were sentenced to imprisonment varying from one day to eighteen months. The latter was thq sen-i tence imposed on the Mayor. Fines as high as two thousand dollars wer,e also ordered.
