LODGE MEETING
The monthly meeting of the Loyal Wellington Past Grands' Lodge, M.U., 1.0.0. F., was held in the Oddfellows' Hall on Saturday evening, President Bro. A. C. Mitchell presiding over an attendance of about forty members. It was resolved that a. letter of sympathy be forwarded to Vice-president Bro. W. H. Madeley, who is at present in a private hospital, having had to undergo an operation for the removal of an eye. Two new members were elected, both brethren being accorded a hearty welcome by the president. The lodge has decided to inaugurate a ritual competition among the city and suburban lodges of fcha Order, for which the immediate past president (P.D.G.M. Bro. A. G. Steffensen) has donated a shield, and a committee was set up to formulate rules and regulations to govern the competition. The question of preparing a ayllabus for future meetings was also referred to a committee to report. At the conclusion of business, the members were the guests of President Bro, A. C, Mitchell at supper.
