BROOKLYN CLUB
The Brooklyn Club held Saturday's run at Karori, about 25 runners participating. The trail, which was laid by L. Todd and I. Taylor commenced first below the, Cemetery, and continued alons the Main Karori road .for a few yards, a turn to the left leading the runners into open country. Hilly country was then traversed, until the golf links were reached, but at this stage a, clump of gorse bushes impeded, the runners' progress for a few minutes. For the home run the runners were divided into two packs, A. Barclay and N. Smellie taking charge of the fast and slow packs respectively. A run-in over the last 150 yards resulted in P. Mills winning rather easily with H. Walls second, and D. Gillies third. Next Saturday's run will take place from Kelburn.
