ST. BARNABASS CHURCH

The annual meeting of parishioners of St. Barnabas Church, Roseneath, was held in the church last evening, the vicar (Archdeacon Turnei'-Jones) presiding. In their report, the churchwardens "call the attention of parishioners to the shinkage in two very important items of revenue, namely offertories and sustentation fund. The former depends on the regularity with which envelopes are placed in the bag; the, later (sustentaticm fund) depends entirely on the goodwill of parishioners, and the promptitude ' with which they come forward with their contributions. Attention is particularly called to these points so that the incoming Vestry may be able to regain and carry on the movement of progrees which was apparent during the previous year, that ia to say the year ending 31st March, 1922. The grant in aid from the General Church Fund has been reduced this year from £50 to £45. The subsidy from St. Mark's parish., which for many years supplemented the funds, and which is gratefully acknowledged, has come to an end. So, to an extent corresponding to those withdrawals, we must in future rely upon our own resources." The following elections were made: Vicar's warden, D. Keir; parish warden, J. Scott, vestrymen J. T. Burton, C. Chaplin, G. P.' Hall, J. E. Jenkinson, E. A. Walker; synodsman, D. Keir (re-elected); auditor, H. D. Vickery (re-elected).
