CHURCH MEETING

ST. JUDE'S.

The annual meeting of parishioners of St. Jude's Church, Lyall Bay, was held in the Church Hall, Freyberg street, on Tuesday. The vicar, the Rev. A. T. B. Page, who was in the chair, in his review of his first year's sojourn in the parochial district, spoke very highly of the services rendered by the several bodies connected with the church, and expressed a hope that the foundation stone of the new building would be laid during the present year, the plans and specifications having been already prepared. The balance-sheet was adopted after being read by the treasurer. Mr. W. H. Morrah, to whom a vote of thanks was accorded. The election, of officers for the year 1922-23 resulted as follows: ■ —F. H. Critchly, vicar's warden; A. Carr, people's warden; W. H. Morrah, treasurer; the vestry, Messrs. Braddock, Clater, Hewson, Hamilton, Morrah, M'Ewan, Martin, Neville, Stone, Stamford.
