Mr. W. Fisher was re-elected Mayor unopposed. Councillors: Messrs. .G. Hughan, B. R. Rayner, T. S. Arcus, J. Preddy, A. M. Broadbent, T. H. Hughes, E. Eagle, A. W. Petherick, J. L. Churchouse.
The Saturday half-holiday was carried by nine votes. Featherston carried Saturday by 41, and Greytown by 121. Electric Power Board, Carterton: Mr. W. Howard Booth.
