The sanctity .of the, marriage row* and the prevalence of divorces have been agitating the mind of' Archbishop Wright, of Sydney. He recently dteplored the cancer of divorce that had eaton into tho marriage vows, and declared that, the laws of the State aided and abetted loose marriages... There,^wefo commercial marriages, too, when iraeotive was often money,. position,- or pleasure. Such marriage's his Grace alleged wore made in hell, while 1' only marriage based on "true love" was mado in heaven and ' would last. The 1 moral of the disquisition, therefore, would seem to be. to only marry for "love," and then be on safe grounds, fair weather or foul. The present Pope, Pius XI., qnc« studied at the Bodleian Library, Oxford, «jid visited London, Manchester, and other Britiih cities. • ....,,.-.
