THE CANADIAN SEIGNEUR. The Canadian Seigneur is due at Auckland on Saturday from Halifax. The vessel's fcew Zealand cargo Is to be discharged at Auckland, and the steamer will then proceed to Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide. The Canadian Seigneur will subsequently return to Kew Zealand to load lor New York, Boston, and Montreal. , PORT GASOLINE FOB. HOME. The C. and D. liner Port Caroline arrived at Wellington last evening from Lyttelton to complete loading for Home. The vessel, which is to leave here on Friday for London, is to take the following passengers:—Misses Webßter. Kiesling, Chapman (2), Bagnall (S), Mesdames Bagnall, Carrick, Messrs. C. Eobinson, Carrlck, C. H. Gibson, and Dr. N. Jlanson. K)K AMERICAN POETS. - Loading for New York, Boston, and Montreal, the Canadian Constructor waß to leave Melbourne to-day for Bluff. She is due at Wellington on the 2nth April, and will sail on the 27th April tor Napier and Auckland to complete loading. ' RIMTJTAKA FROM HOME. The ilner Rimutaka is reported as having sailed from Liverpool on the Bth April for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dune dm. The vessel is due at Auckland on the 22nd May, and at Wellington a week later. CUTTER'S SMAET TRIP. The small cutter recently built for Printe Tugl of Nukualofa made a good passage, of nine days from Auckland to Nukualofa, a

distance of 1300 miles. The cutter, which was built by 0. Bailey, junr., left Auckland on Thursday, 20th March, in charge of Cepfain D. Mac Donald, and arrived at her destination last Saturday, 7tU April. The only other person aboard was Captain Ted Scllars. The cutter's dimensions are: Length, 38ft; beam, lift 6in; and draught, 6ft. The yacht OueJus., some years ago, did the same Journey in seven days. EN ROUTE TO LONDON. The Otarama, which left Wellington on the 27th February, arrived at Las Palmas on the 7th April, and sailed on the Bth April for London t CABLE STEAMER IRIS. -. The Pacißc Cable Board advises that the Iris was due at Norfolk Island tn-day from Suva. From Norfolk Island she will return to Auckland direct, arriving back there about the ICth April. A passenger on the steamer is Mr. John Milward, manager in' the Pacific for the Pacific Cable Board RECORD STEAMING TIMES. The run of 380 knots, wbjch the Royal Mail steamer Tahiti recently steamed in one day, is a record for the vessel, but not for the Pacific. The Royal Mail steamer Niagara Is reported to have put up the following day's runs on one trip: 392, 406, 102, 391, and 393 knots, THE ISLAND STEAMER. ' The Union Company's Island steamer Flora sailed for Rarotonga shortly after midday laßt Saturday. It is five months since the vessel made her previous trip to the Cook Islands. On her arrival from Rarotonga on the Oth November she was laid up as her consignment of oranges was the last for the season. THE MISSION STEAMER. The Melanesian Mission steamer Southern Cross, which has been laid up at Auckland during the hurricane season in the South Pacific, was to leave to-day on her official visit to the mission stations in the Solomon Islands. PORT AUCKLAND FROM NEW YORK. The Commonwealth and Dominion liner Port Auckland, 8908 tons (Captain 13. D. Beckj. arrived at Auckland from New York and Newport News on Sunday. The steamer's total oargo consists of 6000 tons, of which over 5000 tons are motor-cars for Auckland, Wellington, Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide. Before leaving Liverpool ou the present \oyegc the Port Auckland took in a large quantity of bunker coal, and sailed on loth February for. New York. Extremely cold weather was experienced on the American coast, and sometimes the 6now was lying three feet deep on the steamer's deck. Completing loading at Newport News, departure was taken on the 10th March for Auckland. The Panama Canal was passed on the 16th, and Pitcairn reached on the 2Sth in flne weather, the best runs being 330 miles on the 18th, 10th, and 20th. Two days after leaving Pitcairn the Port Auckland encountered a heavy westerly storm, which increased to a hurricane on the Ist April with mountainous seas that swept the decks fore and aft. The speed of the steamer waß reduced to about seven or eight knots, and for three days she continued to lose about three or four" knots an hour. BY TELEGRAPH.
