EMPRESS THEATRE.

A big new picture which featmes the popular Douglas Fairbanks, and entitled "One of the Blood"—the initial production of the Mary Pickford-Charlie Chap-lin-Douglas Fairbanks-D. W. Griffith combine, the so-called "Big Four"—will be shown at the Empress Theatre today. . Fairbanks has never been seen in a picture that approached "One of tho Blood." The story concerns one William Brooks—played by Fairbanks—who lives on thrills and excitement. He has a secret sorrow and he forget* his troubles in the adventures that he courte. His sorrow is a natural one; he doesn't know who he is or who hii parents were, and his longing for a mother'i love, which he has never known, makes him seek self-oblivion in whatever wild excitement he can get into. His quest for thrills leads him from New York to the Mexican border, and then to Europe, and then—you'll have to Bee the picture to get the story. In addition to Fairbanks, pretty little Marjory Daw is in the cast, and Frank Campeau, Lilian Langdon, Sam Sothern, Albert M'Quarrie. Jay Dwiggins, and a lot of others. The supporting programme ia bright and varied, and the music excellent.
