Arrangements have been completed for the reception of Canadian store cattle at Birkenhead, Manchester, Glasgow, Dundee, Bristol; and Cardiff. It is estimated that 20,000 head will arrive in April and May. It is expected that this will depress meat prices. Canada is also developing a trade in high-class chilled meat, which is declared to be superior to the Argentine's.
