BURGOMASTER APPEALS
SENTENCE DOUBLED. LONDON, Bth March.The "Daily Chronicle" says that Jarres, chief burgomaster of Aix ]a Chapelle, appealed against his sentence of one month's imprisonment. The appeal was dismissed, and the sentence doubled.
