ANNUAL PICNIC.
The staff of Messrs. Hamia and King, with relations and friends, journeyed by char-a-banc to Stokes Valley, where a most enjoyable picnic was held in glorious weather. A varied sports programme was decided, the results being as follow:—Tug-of-war, married women (Mesdames Wright, ■ Terriss, Jonos, and Coleman), beat the single men (Messrs. Wells, Conroy, Humphreys, and Owens). Three-logged jace, Mrs. Player and Cameron 1, Mrs." Blatcher and Fry 2 men's sack race, Mrs. Adams and Tvlrs. Fry, dead heat 1, Mrs. Cameron 2; men's hobble skirt race (blindfold), H. Wright 1, H. Jones 2; treacle bun race. A. Blatcher 1, G. Player 2; wrestling, H. Coleman 1; relay race, Miss Hansen and S. Terriss" 1, Miss Dunlop and G. Adams 2. A cricket match, visitors v. Hanna and King resulted in a win for the former by 3 runs. The best batting performances were: —Visitors, C. Price 68, F. Manzies 56, H. Jones, jun., 41. Hanna and King, G. Player 66, S. Terris 49, Fry 43.J
