STRAND THEATRE.
Two First National attractions and a Larry Semon comedy are the main items on the new programme at the Strand Theatre to-day. A pleasant surprise awaits the many admirers of Norma Talmadge, who have been accustomed to seeing her in-gorgeous evening gowns, for in "Love's Redemption," her latest offering, she appears as Ginger, a quaint little girl who has been left an orphan in Jamaica. To make the tropical scenes of the picture the company spent three weeks in the West Indies, and some of the "shots" were taken on the sugar plantation of a millionaire landowner of the islands. In the "Family Honour," the second feature, the master touch of King Vidor is evident in every foot of film. Although there is tragedy in the story, it is also filled with love and romance, and crowded with happiness. As an added attraction, Larry Semon will be seen in his latest hurricane of laughter, "A Pair of Kings." and a supporting programme of exceptional merit will be screened.
