RECORD TIME IN LLOYD STAKES. (UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.—COPTMfIHT.) MELBOURNE, Bth March. For the third day of the V.R.O. Autumn Meeting the weather was fine and bright and the attendance large. The State Governor was present. Ra-hda, after holding fourth place early in the race, won the Autumn. Hurdles well from Mnec.ular, who was last at five furlongs. The favourite, British Arch, was third. Harrison replaced Dempsey as the rider of Eurythmic in the Lloyd Stakes. The outsider. Maid of the Mist, led over the last six furlongs and a half, and won nicely from Eurythmic, who was ridden out with the whip. Easingwold was a bad third. The time, lmiri 37£ sec, is a record for the race. The last half-mile was done in 47i-eec, the last five furlongs in 58isec, and the last oix in lmin lUsec. Eurythmic kicked Salatis at the poot. Maid of the Mist is related to Desert Gold. Rivoli, after filling the last place, to the straight, finished best in the Governor's Plate, and won by a head from Harvest King, who had led for a long way. The last six furlongs was done in lmin 13£' see, and the last four in 47|sec. The Autumn' Handicap winner wasKing's Battery, brother to Artilleryman. The time, 2min 48seu, it a record for the course.
