AMATEUR ATHLETICS
TO-MORROW'S. MEETING.
Everything is in train for a most successful meeting at the 'Athletio Park to-morrow. In all events there are the huge fields' that have been such a fear ture of handicap races throughout the season, and with form so well exposed/ the handicappens have been given an opportunity of making adjustments that should produce close and exciting finishes. All the local champions including Munro, Wilson, and Tracy, will be-seen in action. It has not been possible to secure the presence of a Christchurch team for the Intel-provincial Club's Eelay, but the handsome baton put up for competition by the Athletic Football Sports Club has drawn the best relay teams from the various city clubs. Great interest is'being shown in the last meeting; of the season, between the relay teams of the Wellington and Masterton Ladies' Clubs. The secondary schools contests for the Blundell Cup, always produce fine racing. The college boys this year are probably the best collection of youthful runners the, city has yet seen. The other college races counting for the cup will be a quarter and a relay. The ■primary schools contests for the second Blundell Cup comprise a hundred- yards and a relay race. During the running of the three miles handicap, selected squads of senior cadets will <rive a display of tabloid athletics, putting into twenty minutes all the. excitement of a full afternoon's sport. ' The first event commences at 2.15 p.m.
