NELSON, This Day. The Poultry Conference is the largest and most representative gathering of its kind ever held in New Zealand. After hearing Mr. T. Buxton, organiser of the Farmers' Union, a motion was passed affirming the principle of allying tho association with the New Zealand. Farmers' Union on terms to be arranged later. Mr. F. C. Brown, Government expert, gave a. lecture on the quality of eggs for export. Owing to the fact that production has been increased, thousands of pounds formerly sent abroad tor Asiatic eggs now remain in the coun. try. There were indications to eucoar age the belief of the possibility of establishing the export trade. The procedure is not simple, however; quality was tbe first essential, and none but first-grade eggs should be sent.
