ANNUAL PICNICS
The staff of Gordon and Gotch (Australasia), Limited, and a number of friends, totalling over 100, held a very pleasant picnic at Maidstone Park on Saturday. The ■ following were the results of the sports events:—Gordon and Gotch handicap, D. O'Neill 1, J. R. Archer 2; single women's race, Miss Judd 1, Miss Raw 2; sack race (men), W. E. Anderson 1, A. E. Bull 2; sack race (women), Miss R. Raw 1, Miss F. Raw 2; three-legged'race (men), D. O'Neill 1 and T. Voyce 1; three-legged race ; (women), Miss Power and Miss Wood 1; elopement race, Miss Wood and P. Staple 1; thread-the-needle race, Miss Power and J. R. Archer 1; relay race, Miss ,Wood, A. Youl, and J. R. Archer 1; married men's race, J. R. Salt 1, R. H. Nicholson 2; married women's racej Mrs. Williams 1, Mrs. Salt 2; nail-driv-ing competition, Miss Judd 1, Miss Raw 2. The departmental tug-of-war was won by the publishing department.
