INVITATION TO BORAH

(Received 23rd February, 9 a.m.) WASHINGTON, 22nd February. Senator Borah has announced that he has received an unofficial invitation to visit Russia as the guest of the Soviet. He declared that if the invitation were made official, he would accept it, providing that it did not prevent his plan for a European tour in the interests of peace. Senator Borah is planning a trip to Europe this summer with the intention of placing before the different peoples his pomceal for outlawing war, and providing a settlement for international disputes by a world court. He also intends to stump the United States in the effort to convince the American people that his plan is the only practical method of ensuring peace. Senator Borah, in an interview, saidl: "Statesmen and diplomats will scoff at the plan, bi\t if I can get the ear of the people who have to die in war, and pay for it, I believe a great public sentiment in favour of the idea can be stirred up. '
