YACHT RACES
IMPORTANT EVENTS TO-MORROW. Two of the most attractive yachting events of the season on Wellington Harbour, the annual races for the Turnbull Memorial Cup and the Te Run Cup, will be sailed to-morrow afternoon under the auspices of the Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Club. Public interest in the racing is expected to be unusually keen. Special facilities are to' be, afforded to enable the general public to view tlie contests. The ferry steamer Duchess has been engaged b; the club to, follow the race, and wi leave Clyde Quay Wharf at 3 p.m., returning at about 5.30. The Turnbnll Cup was presented bj the executors of the will of the late Mr. Alexander Turnbull for competition lie 'tween first-class yachts, and is at prosent held by Mr. H. Hadfield's Wan clever. The Te Euvu Cup race is one of the most classic events of the yeai for yachts of the second class.
