NATIONAL LIBERALS
IN THE POLITICAL STRUGGLE
LLOYD GEORGE PROUD OF, RECORD.
(UNITED PF.CSS ASSOCIATION.—COPYRIGHT.)
(AUSTRALIAN - NEW ZEALANB CABLE ASS9CIATWN.) LONDON, 21st February. Mr. Lloyd George, speaking at a dinner at the 1920 Club, to celebrate the National Liberal victories at the General Election, said: '; We have emerged from one of the most difficult, most complicated, and baffling struggles I have ever been engaged in. The Socialists bombed us from the air, while our other enemies attacked us from below, but I am proud of our record. We aimed at restoring the devastated world by means of peace, which is the _ basis of everything. We are in a minority in the House of Commons, but we represent a majority of votes at the last election. France should remember that."
