SYDNEY, This Day.
Miss Shand, lsec from scratch, won her heat in the special 100 yards handicap, after a strenuous fight with Miss Yenning (Queensland). Miss Walrond, obviously tiring, finished third in the second heat from scratch, Miss Wylie, on 2sec, benting Miss Roberts after a dashing finish. The final resulted: Miss Roberts, 1; Miss Wylie, 2 ; Miss Shand, 3. Won by a touch in 81sec.
