MASTER PAINTERS
DECISIONS OF CONFERENCE,
The annual conference of the New Zealand Federation of Master Painte-:s, Decorators, and- Signwriters was continued yesterday. With reference to the proposed "paint:p campaign," it was decided, after a considerable amount of discussion, duiing^ which the Auckland delegates comilained that reflections had been oast ~m their association, to delete from a report words objected to as offensive. When two rival schemes of advertising had been outlined, the conference rej solved_ that the campaign be left to the incoming executive committee to draw np a report for submission to affiliated association?. It was m instruction to the committee that the plan decided upon be gone on with, provided two or more associations agree, but no liability is to be incurred by the associations Handing out.
The conference agreed on the edvisnbility of setting up a committee to go into the matter of creating a Master Painters' Assurance Fund.
it was decided to draw up a new set of niles, to be printed and circulated nmong members of federated associations.
Endeavours are- to be mnde to fct Parrlsimenl. to por,s an Act for the compuiso.y registration of Knaster painters.
