TRAWLER'S LONG VOYAGE
The small steam trawler Serfib arrived at, Auckland on Monday morning after a twelve weeks' voyage from England, via Gibraltar, Port Said, Perim, Colombo, and Fremantle. She sailed from Hull on 25th Kovember, and until she cleared the Australian coast experienced more or less, stormy weather. The worst part ot the voyage was between Gibraltar and Port Said, where the Serfib battled foi five days against violent westerly gales, which nearly proved her undoing (states the " New Zealand Herald "). Most ol that time she was running before the storm, her decks awash with the seas which constantly broke on board, and in one instance lifted the lifeboat oul oi the chocks.
