LONDON PRODUCE MARKETS.
The following cable message has been received by the itenk of New. South Wales from its London office, dated 9th February :—"Wool —JTirst series closes firm tone; no change in prices since last report. Butter : Steady; £9 14s and £9 l(is. Cheese: Fair demand; coloured, £6 6s and £(> Ss; white, £G 4s and £6 6s. Mutton: No alteration in prices; market dull; unchanged. Lamb: Old season's all finished; no alteration in prices. Beef: Market firm; 4d and 5d."
The .New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., has received the following cablegram from its London house, under date 9th February :—"New Zealand Frozen Meat: Mutton, wether and maiden ewe, light, OJd per lb; heavy, Sjd per Ib. Other quotations unchanged. Market dull. New Zealand Butter: 2s per lb lower; letter demand. (Last quotations, 19th January: Salted, 196s to 108s per cwt; unsalted, 198s to 200s per cwt). Cheese: 122s to 128s per cwt; market steady."
