TE KUITI, This Day. The second day of the combine/ Te Kuiti-Taumaranui Meeting was opened in dull weather. Th e going is good. The.first <tay totalisator figures were £22,159, against £22,552 for the Te Kuiti Meeting last year. Results:—

Maiden Handicap, of 100 soys; six furlongs.—Kirito, 7.8,1; Black . Cruiser 7.9, 2; Abberf-e!d, 7.12. 3. Scratched: Rotoa Queen, Puketoa, Barometer. Won by a lerfth and thnfj-quarters. Time, lmin 17 2-ssec.

Taringamotu Hack Handicap, of 100 soys; six furlongs.—Midget, 8.5, 1; Smoke, 8.3, 2; Velociform, 9.2, 3. All started. Won by a length and threequarters. Time, lmin 17 4-ssec.

Taumarunui Cup, of 300 soys; one mile and a quarter.—Glencairn. 7.2, 1 ; Perfect Day, 7.0, 2; Sir Otway, 6.9, 3. Scratched : Bedford. A good race. Won by a long neck, with half a length between second and third. Time, 2min lOsec.

Following is the result of the last race at Te Kuiti on Saturday:—

Farewell Handicap, of 125 soys; five furlongs.—Prince Abbey, 8.12, 1; Wairarapa, 6.7, 2. Scratched: Finelli, Gidge.
