The Englishmen, with fotn? wickets down for 288- runs, deciared( Sand- . ham 114, Woolley 52). Transvaal's second innings netted 180 (Maritz 36). Woolley took three wickets for 27 runs, and Macaulay four for 30. Saridh&m's century completes a thousand runs to his credit during the ■ present tour.
