PARIS, 6th February. While the Maidi Carnival was at its Jieight, a man dressed as a Harlequin, faced another man dressed as Mephistopheles. Before the bystanders could interfere, both men were lying on the ground mortally wounded, having exchanged revolver shots. Later, they were identified as married men who had vowed to kill each other after a quarrel over a young woman
