LODGE MEETINGS
The fortnightly meeting of the Pacifia Lodge, No. 8, U.A;O.D., was held this week. A.D. Bro. W. Hearne presided. Many topics of lodge interest were dis^ cussed, and two new members were initiated. D.P. B,ro. Gauntlett was_ welcomed.
The fortnightly meeting of the Loyal. Sister Wallie lodge, No. 7548, M.W., 1.0.0. F., was held in the lodge room Lambton quay this week. Sister O. Wharton, P.G., presiding over a fair attendance. The election of delegates to the district meeting was held over till* next lodge night. One. new member was proposed. The fortnirrhtiy meeting of Lodee Coronation, No. 26, was held on Tuesday evening. Bro. J. Phillips presided over a good attendance of, members and visitors. Two candidates were initiated into the order. The resignation of BroCooper as delegate to the Sports and Pastime Club was receiyed^with regret, and Bro. Collett was appointed to fill the position. A member was received on clearance from Te Kuiti Lodge. \Bro. A. Smith, P.A., was elected as delegate to a special committee of Friendly Society Lodges. The question of furthering the distribution of the "Druidic Gazette" was fully discussed, and a scheme was adopted which will hay* beneficial results. During the evening 3 "dutch auction" was carried out.
