At Addington' : to:day there, was C double market in view of the holidays.The yardings were very heavy, and there was a good sale throughout: ' Store Sheep.—An increased entry and a keen sale, all classes selling at advanced rates, rape lambs particularly.' Forward 4 and 6-tooth wethers made 25« 3d to: 26s 8d; four and 6-.J,ooth wethers, 21s to 24s j 4, 6, and 8-tooth wethers, 21s 6d to 24s 9d; 2-tooth half-bred wethers, 19s Id to 19s 6d; rape lambs, 22s 9d to 245; small lambs, 16s; cull lambs, ss. Sound and failing-mouthed, woolly ewes and lambs,,: 22s to 23s Id (all counted); aged and forward ewes, 16s to 16s 6d; forward 4 and 6-tooth rewes, 28s sd; fouryear crossbred ewes, 255. Fat Lambs.—sooo were penned, of which butchers, secured-about-;S0d0 and exporters.. 1700; Average values were lOd per Ib, butchers paying up to lO^d. in some cases. There was a keen sale. Extra prime lambs made 34s 6d to 375, and a few special 39s 6d; prime lambs, 30s 6d to 345; medium, ,27s 6d to 30s; light and unfinished, 24s 6d to 275. . Fat Sheep.—An average yarding, and a slightly- better sale 1- than" last—week. Wether mutton was worth 6£d to 6Jd per. lb; ewe, 5d to s£d. Extra prime wethers made 35s 6d to 38s, and some special 41s; prime wethers, 31s 6d to 34s 6d; medium 29s to 31s, light 26s to 28s 3d.. Extra prime ew.es realised 134s 6d, prime 28s to 325, medium 26s to 27s 9d, light 235.6d.t0 25s 6d.
Fat Cattle.—The' 450 yarded were of moderate quality:' The sale opened easier, but firmed up, and generally was a shade better' than last.. week. Prime medium weight.'beef'was worth 29s to 31s per 1001b; heavy'beef, 26s to 28a i medium beef, 245-6 d to-265; cow beef, 21s to-'23s; rough beef, 15s. Extra prime steers sold at £13 to £14 15s, prime'at £10 5s to • £12- 15s, medium £8 to' £10; light and unfinished, £6 to £7 10s. Vealers.—An' over-yardipg and a very poor demand.': Good runners made £3 17s, ordinary £2 5s to£3 2s 6d; small calves, 4s upwards. .', .
