While in Wellington, Mr. A. C. MacLaren, captain of the M.C.C. team, stated that he had with him a cinema machine for the purpose of taking pictures of the, cricket matches during the tour. Attached to the camera was a telescopic lens, by means of which he was able to obtain excellent views of important incidents in' the play. During the matches in Australia, he had obtained some very fine pictures, and he proposed to use them, supplemented by others to be taken in New Zealand, in giving demonstrations and lectures in aid of the disabled soldiers'] funds or any really deserving object to be decided upon. " Mr. MacLaren has offered to exhibit the pictures in Wellington, and the local Cricket Association is making arrangements for tho event, which should be of great interest to all. followers of cricket, to take .place in the Town Hall Concert Chamber on Friday, the 29th Tlecember.
