DECREASES''ON BOTH SIDES,
The railway working'account for the four weeks ended 11th November,\nd for eight months •of the current financial year is published in the-"Gazette." " The figures for the eight months show a fairly substantial decrease ' in the revenue, which is more than balanced by a reduction of £57.000 in the expendtiure. The goods traffic s'Ebws a total increase of 16,977 tons, but there has been a falling. off in timber and in the number of cattle, sheep, and pigs carried on all sections.
