Mr. Harold Brown returned from Sydney by the Ulimaroa. He intends to race in New South Wales in future, and is shipping Wrangle, Still Sea, Spook, and Maunun in charge of W. H. "Dv/yev by the Huddarfc-Parker boat to Sydney to-morrow. . . '-. •
At the Ballarat Meeting on the 7th inst., ..-the Cup, of 350 aovs; one mile and a quarter, was won by Comedy Star, ■ by Comedy King from Rattler, by Nekon—Moonga,. a full sister to Seahorse, who was sold at the Stead boom sale in 1908 for 1000 guineas. ' There was some bumping in the Trial* Plate at Woodville. Crown Star, a member of R. Goosettlan's team, got the worst of it, and Was unable to start on the second day. Ad exhaustive inquiry was held, the result being that L. G. Morris and C. Reed received a caution.

Good Sport won in tho hack class on, the first day at Woodyille, 1" but failecl on his first j appearance in open company on tho concluding day. is a brown colt by All Black (imp.) from Auraria's Daughter, by Pistol (imp.) from Auraria (winner of the Melbourne Cup in 1895), by Trenton from Aura, by Richmond from Instep (imp.), by Lord Clifden. He was bred in South Australia by Mr. L. F. Aldridge, and had two unsuccessful Bbarts- when two years old. His owner, Mr. E. J. Watt, -gave 950 guineas for him when a yearling. Ballalah 1 was inclined to be fractions at the barrier in this race. He 'reared, and bumped Tranquil, who parted company with her rider.
