MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Mr. E. Page, S.M., presided at the Magistrate's Court to-day. " On charges of drunkenness and committing a breach of his prohibition order, William Henry Taylor was fined ss, in default twenty-four hours' imprisonment, and 30s, in default seven days, on the respective counts..
In our issue of 12th December under the heading "Civil Cases Judgment Summonses," the names of the plaintiff and defendant in one case were unfortunately transposed, and as a result it/ appeared that R. F. 0. Frederick was ordered to pay Christie £17 Os 6d on or before 11th January, 1923, in default ten days imprisonment. As a matter of fact in an action between the parties named Mr. Frederick succeeded on a counterclaim and then issued a, judgment summons to which apparently Mr. Christie did not appear, with a result that he (Christie) ,was ordered to pay Mr. Frederick ftie above sum with ,the usual default. In" the Court official record the transposition was inadvertently made, and we copied it. It is only right Lhat we should express our regret to Mr. Frederick for the annoyance he has been caused through the inadvertent publication in this paper. .
