...' i \ SYDNEY/This Day. The Whangape is held up through the 'difficulty of filling three vacancies, the union insisting on Australian rates. Three, volunteers will be appointed today, fpnd if the remainder of the crew refuses to work with them it is expected that arrests will be made and that nil the crew will be recruited from volun- • teers. The Moerakl's seamen have been released, and will be stranded.in Sydney unless the -union comes to their assistance. '.'! . , ' ■ ' 1 _ SYDNEY, 13th December. The Union .Company announces that ' it has now arranged for a full service between Australia and New Zealand, by meaiik pi voluntary labour. The company states that there will be no further delay.
