"IL TROVATORE."
Great interest is being shown among musical people in Wellington in Saturday evening's performance 6l Verdi^s popular grand opera, "II Trovator'e," by the Royal Choral Union. As time advances, choral societies the world over appear, to favtfur the idea of varying their seasonal programmes by the inclusion of operatic works as distinct from the purely oratorical. The union has assembled such a, remarkable strong cast of soloists for "II Trovatore" that there should be little doubt as to tlie success of the performance. Performing members are reminded that the rehearsal to-night will take place at the Wesley Schoolroom, Tarannki mtreoii- Box plftti »ad day jolei ar« at The Bristol.
