WOMAN LOSES HER LIFE

This Day.
A fire occurred in a residence in Earn street, at 11 o'clock last night, by which Ida Ethel Junker, aged 23, lost her life. She wa.3 the only occupant, and was overcome by smoke, and suffocated. Two rooms were gutted.
FEILDING'This Day.
The biggest blaze in Feilding for many years occurred last night, when Broadbelt's box factory was completely destroyed. The outbreak was discovered at 11 o'clock. The building, made of wood, burnt like tinder, in spite of the brigade's desperate. efforts. The contents, except the machinery, were mostly white pine. The damage amounts to several thousands. The insurances are not available. Twenty-five people are thrown out of employment.
CAMBRIDGE, This Day.
Wooden premises, owned and occupied by P. J. Turney, in Duke street, were totally destroyed by fire at 3 o'clock this morning. The fire brigade saved other buildings from damage. The insurances are : £350 on the building, and £700 on the stock, both in the New Zealand Insurance Office. Mr. Turney is a very heavy loser, as the stock was valued at £1500. The premisesl were only recently purchased by him.
